I’ve always loved writing. In high school I actually enjoyed writing poetry, essays and short stories. I stopped writing in college, but often thought about it. Once I had kids I’d come up with a book idea and think maybe someday, but the time never seemed right. There was always something else to do. I’ve decided that someday is now, I’ve started the character development for my first book. I’m obviously in the very early stages, but I’m happy with my progress so far. I leave the laptop on and jot down ideas as they occur to me. My goal is to complete the character and location development by September so I can write while the kids are in school.
